Regina Koboro Makgwadi – Regina is 33 and a mother of three children.

She disclosed her status in September 2006 and was the first person in the Mangle-mang area to do so. Her belief is that “if you deny you will die”. The support of the team at the Lafata Home Based Care and ARV treatment from the

local clinic saw her through the worst times. She is restored to health and leading a full and meaningful life. Regina works voluntarily for Lafata, runs campaigns going door to door educating all she comes into contact with about HIV and AIDS. She visits bottle stores, shops, primary and secondary schools,

educating the community about HIV and AIDS and using her life and story as an example.
