WinGate is a proxy server software package that allows you to share a single (or multiple) Internet connections with an entire computer network. The Internet connection shared by WinGate can be of nearly any type, including ordinary dial up modem, ISDN (Digital Dial-up), satellite, or even dedicated leased line connections.

Give all your PC’s Internet access via one modem.

The primary benefit of WinGate is its ability to allow multiple computers to share a single Internet connection. This eliminates the need to add additional phone lines, Internet access accounts, modems, or expensive dedicated circuit hardware in order to provide Internet access to multiple computers. By sharing a single Internet account and connection with WinGate, a home or business user can provide Internet access to an entire network with cost savings that can be seen immediately.

Restrict Access! WinGate also protects your internal network with its firewall component. This prohibits intruders from accessing your internal network through your Internet connection by restricting IP addresses that can access your internal network from the Internet. This is the main reason for using it with a leased line connection.

Monitor what they do! The PRO version adds the ability to selectively restrict and monitor individual user access by user name. The PRO version also provides remote administration and scheduling features.

Limit what they can see!  By integrating InterQuick with WinGate, you can provide content filtering and bandwidth enhancing features to your entire network.  InterQuick is a Web accelerator and caching solution that optimises your Internet connection.  SmartFilter™ by Secure Computing is an optional plug-in for InterQuick that allows the administrator to ban access to a specified content groups. A subscription-based solution, SmartFilter provides the most current list of known sites and bans access to the sites it matches.
